As only 500 visitors per summer are accepted, you will need to purchase tickets in person. Sales begin each year in December by the Centre Écologique de Port-au-Saumon ecological centre (CÉPAS).

Designed by Francis H. Cabot, this enchanting 8-hectare site will take you through a most grandiose maze composed of floral and architectural designs.

This place is certainly one of the most beautiful private gardens in North America, with two Japanese pavilions, its large outdoor swimming pool overlooking the St. Lawrence, the panoramic views it affords that stretch for miles around, and its thousand or so green spaces of all kinds.

6. Explore the St. Lawrence aboard a sea kayak

The Route des Montagnes is a tourist circuit that will take you to the villages of Saint-Urbain, Notre-Dame-des-Monts, and Saint-Aimé-des-Lacs.

Follow the blue signs along the 121-kilometre road and let yourself be lulled by the romantic landscapes that conjure up images of Europe. The tour ends at the Parc National des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie national park.
